2017 TechXcellence Award

District Administration magazine is honoring 19 schools and districts in math instruction and makerspace initiatives as part of the new Schools of TechXcellence program. This is the inaugural round of honorees for this new national recognition program.

The 19 schools and districts honored in this round of TechXcellence—from 14 states—have launched math instruction and makerspace programs that incorporate technology powered by Intel, including laptops, tablets and 3D printers.

At Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School in Spring Hill, Florida, students employ 3D printers to fashion prosthetic hands for needy children at a cost of $45 each.
